Superclass: Global Power elite and the world

David Rothkopf, a former managing director of Kissinger Associates and an international trade official in the Clinton Administration. Farrar Straus and Giroux. 376 pp. $26 Reviewed by Anne-Marie Staughter, Dean of Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton and author of "The Idea that is America: Keeping Faith with our Values in a dangerous world." I have reason to believe that folks with faith and goodwill would have similar value with the goal of economic development by means of trade to validate the Law of Comparative Advantage known to students of economics. Go to www.theyrule.net. A white page appears with a deliberately shadowy image of a boardroom table and chairs. Sentences materialize; "They sit on the boards of the largest companies in America." Many sit on government committees.""They make decisions that affect our lives."

Global Affairs: They rule the world - A shadowy organization is in power, and it's made up of the very, very rich. Published by Book World, Sunday, May 25, 2008

My comment: If the very, very rich folks rule the world, the middle class and the poor are at the mercy of their wishes. Would such reality be relevant to Sino-American Economics? The readers can make your own judgments after reading such works by scholars who are independent in their analysis for the public. I am delighted to be aware of such scholarly contribution for understanding the real world of power.
