Eight Chinese Succinct Words to express Sino-American Relations

Ambassador Huntsman spoke 8 Chinese characters at Hong Kong Phoenix TV on May 17m 2009:

"Hu xiang bang mang,
Hu xiang xue xi"

The above would be the phonetic equivalents of Pin Yin system of romanization in Chinese. Such rationale is similar to my past blogs of mutual cooperation and mutual collaboration in the 21st century.

Americans need to learn Chinese language and culture and Chinese are encouraged to study American English and American culture.

I am so delighted to hear such words in Chinese Mandarin and I have reason to believe that closer and positive relations would be upcoming in due course of time.

Francis Shieh aka Xie Shihao, an octogenarian who studied American English and culture(including Economic culture) since 1947 and taught Chinese language and culture to Americans since early 1950s. I believe that the above 8 words are dedicated to all for the best interest of the peoples of two great nations on both sides of the Pacific.
