"The huge costs of aging baby boomers for Federal Budget: From 2005 to 2030, the 65 and over population will nearly double, to 71 million; its share of the population will rise to 20% from 12%. Social security, Medicare and Medicaid already exceed 40% of the $2.7 trillion. By 2030, their share could hit 75% of the present budget, projects the Congressional Budget Office. Such vision would illuminate the connections between defense spending, retirement benefits, health care, economic growth and so on." My comment: Where are the priorities?
