What is Economics? The query of queries!

"Economics, like math, is something most folks rationalized they would never neeed to know after graduation." Published by the Book World,June 15,m 2008 oage 11. Nancy Lloyd is an economist, formerly with Federal Reserve Board. Author of "Simple Money Solutions." She made such comments:"But with gas prices soaring, home values sinking, consumer debt rising and jobs vanishing, it is hard to deny that economics affects our daily lives and livelihoods. While pundits and campaign leaders kick around economic issues and possible solutions, books aspire to jump start our economic intelligence quotient." I would agree but economics is not mathematics.
The following works are listed below for your references:

4. Whatever Happened to Thrift? By Ronald Wilcox, a professor of business administration. He said: "Americans spend too much, leaving them ill-equipped to meet unforeseen needs."

As I sent my previous blogs, philosophy of life should be studied to avoid free-fall lifestyles in USA. Confucianism may be excellent intellectual challenges for Americans apropos of Sino-American economics.
