COMMON WEALTH: by Jeffrey D. Sach, adviser to UN Secretary General,Columbia U. Professor

"Economics for a crowded planet" i.e. Economic globalization. Just published by Penguin Press 2008. $27.95

Global cooperation is needed on page 235. The world's largest regional development project is the Western China Development Project by which the Chinese government is spreading economic development beyond the booming coastal regions to the lagging regions in the interior.

On page 289."There is nothing inherently frightening about the rise in China's influence. A strnger China can be an ally that bears more of the global responsibilities" Moreover, trade relations are always at best to re the Law of Comparative Advantage known to students of economics.
"Our very survival in the long run will be achieved by recognizing that the vast majority of people in China, just as in the USA,long for their own prosperity, and security not for dominatin over others. We must therefore train ourselves and orient our foreign policy to understand the world not only as we would see it but how others see it as well. That is the key to appreciating our common fate, and common wealth on the planet." Such rationale is the same as I have been sending my blogs for readers to appreciate the proper Sino-American Economics for mutual benefit.Cf. "Remaking China Policy" by Richard Moorsteen of the RAND Corporation. Published by Harvard University Press,1971.

Air and Space Power Journal Summer 2008:

On pages 104,105: The Future US Air Force by Min Zengfu. In Pin Yin,his name is "added wealth" to be relevant in economics! PLA Publishing House,no. 40 Dianmen xidajie street, Xixheng District, Beijing, China 2007.

"The author does a wonderful job of comparing the USAF with its counterpart in the former Soviet Union and present day Russia. Altho his admiration of the USAF is obvious, he is somewhat critical of the force structure of the Russian Air Force." Reviewed by Guocheng Jiang at Maxwell AFB, Alabama. E-mail: aspj@maxwell.af.mil

The above citation reinforces my blogs about the significance of US-China or Sino-American economics including the military cooperation and collaboration in the 21st century for the peace and development of two great nations on both sides of the Pacific.
