Tea or Coffee? Others items of interest to readers

In spite of economic downturn, the burgeoning coffee or tea reflects the trend of the need of drinks in USA and in China. It seems to be related with the daily routine of our lives. Any intellectual exploration would lead us to understand that our heart is pure and try to tolerate the folks on earth. There is a link between material things and spiritual grace. We may have both, money and soul if we have the marketable skill. Ideas motivate us to march on everyday! Life is worth living.

Music is universal as redumptive clout. Nathaniel Ayers and Yo-yo MA were classmates at Julliard in the 1970s. Prof. Daniel Levitin wrote a review on "The Soloist" published by Book World on Sunday, July 20, 2008. Evidence of bi-cultural interests.

Brent Scowcroft, former adviser to George HW Bush pointed out that the Chinese were decisive because China has enormous economic leverage over North Korea. But China does not have influence over Iran. WashPost published his view on July 23rd on page A11. On page A15: The losses on subprime mortgages, the collateral damage to financial markets and the sharp rise of food prices are bad economic news, indeed! Economist Nouriel Roubini of NYU believes additional losses at banks and investment banks are being disguised by lax acccounting practices. Things might get worse. Such are the concerns of Americans and Chinese alike.
