Interesting info about China from media.7/29/08

Washington Times July 29, 2008 page A24: China's foreign exchange reserve total 1.8 trillion. IMF expects another half trillion in 2009. About 3/4 of $1.8 trillion is said to be in US Dollars. The relationship of USA and China is bound to be SYMBIOTIC for mutual benefits in the 21st century as I have sent my past blogs with the same rationale.

Page C2: Chen Deming with his photo in Geneva,Minister of Commerce studied at Harvard in 2004. I met him when he was mayor of Suzhou in 1999 as I was teaching at Suzhou University. I remember talking Wu dialect with him as a native of Shanghai. That was nine years ago!
