"Kung Fu Panda" hits China: Made in Hollywood,USA

Such movie follows a slacker panda named Po, who works in his father's noodle shop and eventually fulfills his dream of being a kung fu fighter, and features the voices of Hollywood stars Jack Black and Angelina Jolie. It is taken in $350 million at theaters world-wide.

I wish to point out the Pin Yin system of romanization should be "Gongfu" instead of "Kungfu" but the established Wade-Gile system lingers in the minds of lots of folks world-wide.

Washington Post,July 12, 2008 page A3: Senator Obama defends comments on learning other languages: Americans need to learn more foreign languages. I am sure when learners study phonetic equivalents,Pin Yin system would be studied and more folks would be familiar with Pin Yin system of romanization in the 21st century.

Francis Shieh a.k.a. Xie Shihao, published "A Glimpse of the Chinese Language" (1965)dedicated to all who wish to learn the comparisons of varied systems of romanization and the simplified Chinese language plus the traditional form of the Chinese characters. Simplified Chinese would save time in the name of economic development. Economizing time would be the goal for folks nowadays! July 12, 2008 at 3.40 p.m.
