Sequel to "NUDGE" by the Director,Center for decision,Grad School of Business,Columbia U.

We often choose poorly. The reason is that, being human, we all are susceptible to various biases that can lead us to blunder. Our mistakes make us poorer and less healthy; we often make bad decisions involving education, personal finance, health care and credit cards. American society is simply too diverse, individuals are simply too creative, circumstances change too rapidly, and government is simply too fallible. Many sensible Republicans know that even with free market, government intervention cannot be avoided. To countless ordinary people, the debates seem increasingly tired, abstracrt and unhelpful- pointless sloganeering. Many sensible Democrats are fully aware that mandates can be ineffective and even counter poroductive. The sheer complexity of modern life, and the astounding pace of technological and global change undermine arguments for rigid mandates or for dogmatic laissez-faire. Emerging developments should strengthen the principled commitment to the people in the USA and "yirenweiben" in China apropos of the mix of public and private sectors clearly evident with ongoing events in the 21st century.
