US-China in common: Violent crime on the rise

Parade magazine,March 23, 2008 on page 8: Despite murders in 2007 hitting lows in our nation's three largest cities - New York, Los Angeles and Chicago - the number of murders is rising in much of the U.S. "The homicide rate is going up, and gun violence is spiking," says Ron Ruecker, head of the International Association of Chief of Police. Decades ago,Chief Dan Liu of Honolulu Police Department was the Head of the International Associate of Chief of Police,the only American Police Chief of Chinese ancesty from 1948 to 1969 with such long period of dedicated service. March 14, 2008 in Tibet,violence occurred but the Lhasa is back of normal now after the local authorities took action to maintain law and order for the wellbeing of the folks in Lhasa,Tibet.
