US-China /Sino-American economic interests?

Washington Post, December 7, 2007 page D8: China plans subsidies for oil firms to help offset the gap between high international crude oil prices and controlled domestic fuel prices. The firms will receive rebates and will be exempt from paying oil import duties. A query raised by a lifelong student of economics. Francis Shieh a.k.a. Xie Shihao on December 8, 2007
