China's economy and US economy as per media

Wall Street Journal, Dec. 8-9,2007: Page B1,B6- Credit Suisse aims to create Chinese venture. Underwriting may signal more access for Wall Street Banks. Credit Suisse won roles on stocks for IPO re Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and China Construction Bank of 9.2 billion. CCB is an alliance of Bank of America.
Economist magazine,Dec.7,2007 issue: page 86 - Losing faith in the greenback. Professor Eichengreen of the University of California,Berkeley said:"If $'s dominence is to end, those who take a grand sweep of history are backing China's curency(yuan)i.e. RMB as a big reserve currency of the future. $'s immediate rival is the Euro. My comment: Chinese products are selling well world-wide and Foreign Exchange Reserve is now 1.4 trillion with going upward trend in the days to come due to booming exports. Food for thoughts for students of economics apropos of Sino-America economics or US-China economic relations in the 21st century. Francis Shieh a.k.a. Xie Shihao. December 8,2007
