Common problems for USA and China

Washington Post,Dec.11, 2007 page A14: Gore acceepts Nobel Prize with call for bold action- Former VP Al Gore, accepting his Nobel PeacePrize on Monday,Called on the United States and China, the world's two largest polluters, "to make the boldest moves" on climate change"" or stand accountable before history for their failure to act." My comment: Such warning is another evidence of the dire need for cooperation and collaboration of two great nations on both sides of the Pacific for the benefit of two nations and humanity as a whole. R. Pachaukri shared the Peace Prize with Gore, "Myopic indifference to the crisis threatened further disease and malnutrition, and the swallowing of low-lying lands by rising seas. The United SChina have been roundly criticized by environmental activists as taking insufficient action to curb greenhouse emissions that scientists say are causing global warming. Gore lost to George Bush despite winning the popular vote in 2000. Here is my reasoning:k If popular votes are honored as true democracy, then Gore should have been elected as the President of the United States. But the political realities made Bush the president.
