In a harmonious society in China, "Laotianye" is to address the Divine and such religious harmony is in evidence together with the Chinese tradition of observing Confucianism from generations to generations as a way of life with ethics and morality. There has never been any religious conflict per se due to the generally accepted demeanor under the influence of Confucianism.
