The Dollar is alive and well. I totally concur such reasoning

Washington Post, June 30, 2009 page A12:

Marc Chandler, Chief of currency strategy at the Global Investment Bank Brown Brothers Harriman wrote:

"There is no evidence that central banks have diversified away from the dollar. In the second half of last year, as the financial crisis became acute, China increased its Treasury holdings by more than a third; it continued to amass US currency through the first quarter of this year." Here is concrete evidence of Sino-American Economics with friendship and partnership in globalization. President Hu will attend G-8 meeting in Europe in early July.

"Russia, Brazil and India also have been consistent buyers of US Treasury notes" I would stress the global context of cooperation and collaboration to solve global financial crisis.

Those nations are determined to accumulate financial reserves, and there is no clear alternative to the depth and breadth of the US Treasury market.

I do share such rationale to the fullest extent. Stay good-humored and hold on US Dollars as international currency for a long while. That remains to be seen.
