Washington Post,June 10, 2009 "Style "section,page C1,C12:

Hearing a concert in an unfamiliar setting underlines the universality, if not of music, then of the concertgoing experience. The National Symphony Orchestras played Tuesday night in the Grand Auditorium of the Cultural Center in Macau, which is a Special Administrative Region of China. Photos on C1,C12 with Chinese characters of a restaurant and a pawn shop.

"A Glimpse of the Chinese Language" in English is available free of charge as public service at www.rand.org in pdf format for readers.

I visited Macau's East Asia College i.e. Macao University when I was a Fulbright Senior Scholar in Hong Kong,1989-1990.

On page A17: President Obama has been taking flak of late for giving fat-cat donors cushy ambassadorial posts. However,Jon Huntsman Jr., to be Ambassador to China, is an exception.
He gave $0 and is Utah governor,McCain campaign co-chair. Jon Huntsman has knowledge of China with facility of the Chinese language and culture when he was a Mormon missionary in Taiwan plus experience as former Ambassador to Singapore with knowledge of the region.
