Seniors living longer lives from Octogenarians to centenarians

The seniors are the fastest growing demographics, making it a distinguished force without economic clout as retired persons. There are circa 500 million folks age 65 or older around the world.

Statistics shows that there will be 580,605 centenarians in the USA in 2040. By 2050, seniors will make up 21% of the population. Advanced medicine has played a part in the life expectancy with positive mentality plus Chinese food could be other factors. Cheerful upbeat with faith, hope and love would be the blessings from etiology.

According to AARP studies, Americans 55 and older accounted for 23% of the more than one million Americans who filed for bankruptcy in 2007. Seniors are unable to meet living expenses with Social Security benefits. Much is attributed to taxes and increase in utility payments plus high cost of medical care.

Health Care Law may or may not be a blessing for the elderly. That remains to be seen in the days ahead.
