Wall Street Journal,4/9/08: p.A11: Olympic official condemns Anti-China protests

Demonizing and denigrating China is unfair, untrue and unjust to badmouthing the most populous nation on earth. Alarmingly, the vast majority of Americans do not know the truth re riots and violence in Tibet from the media with bias.

I heard the broadcast this morning that our leader thinks D. Lhama is a kind person with religious background. My comment:"Zhi ren zhi mian bu zhi xin" as a Chinese maxim in Pin Yin system of romanization. For those who know the Chinese language, such expression is loud and clear without reservation. However, those who do not know the language yet, please start learning the Chinese language as a form of art re calligraphy and music:four tones in Mandarin Chinese.

I wish that educators would dedicate every available resource to redress this calamitous situation since Chinese is a strategic language needed by Americans. Moreover, language would articulate ideas in a coherent manner. How can we expect to have positive US-China relations when the basic tool for communication is neglected? We must start learning original source materials for better understanding. In this regard,"A Glimpse of the Chinese Language" in English is hereby dedicated as a reference for communication with 1/5 of the folks in the world. www.rand.org for information.
