Almost four decades have passed since US scapped its last currency for precious metals. Our copper, nickel coinages still retains intrinsic value with historical significance. US has been forced to gull its citizens and creditors by debasing official statistics.: the vital instruments with which the vigor and muscle of the American economy is measured. Pollyanna Creep galore! My comment: Political necessity of official optimism as we read such article with insights. I would strongly recommend such article on page 43 to 47 in May issue of Harpers for intellectual enrichment.
