Martin Luther King Jr.: A complex legacy et al.

Washington Post,April 4, 2008 on Page A1 with Photo of MLK,Jr. apropos of race, justice and citizenship. "New York Times/CBS" survey reveals that 81% of Americans believe that we are on the wrong track as published by "USA Today" as well. Presidential candidate Obama stresses changes of directions and most American voters would support since the economy is on the wrong track with the clear empirical evidence of such trend deserving a CHANGE to the right course for 2008 election.

It is high time to realize that USA is a nation of varied races and Americans should be treated fairly regardless of race, color, national origin and age. However,if an octogenarian applies for a job, most likely no positive reply will be given to the applicant. Why? There is still age discrimination even though the octogenarian is hale and hearty! Francis Shieh is aware of such case very well as a witness of such unfair treatment in the literal sense. Hahahaha for a cheeful weekend and remember that smile costs you nothing, not even a penny! April 4, 2008.

The good practical joke is as follows with rhymed comics by talented Tom Toles published on page A22 of the Washington Post today.

This is the investor, tattered and torn; Who lent to the banker, shaven and shorn; With advice from the economist, theories(in the books?)worn; And help from the builder with the crumpled horn, who sold to Jack(whom?) now forlorn.

As a lifelong student,I truly appreciate the above in-depth analysis of the real world of economics in action nowadays.
