US Economy remains weak and Coke makes bid for China

Washington Post, Sept. 4, 2008 Page D3: According to the FED's "beige book" released yesterday, business conditions were weak, soft or subdued across most of the nation.
Chief economist said: "The economy is stabilizing but at a very low level. There is uncertainty about future sales and the access to credit. It is not surprising that many are relectant to invest and hire workers. My comment: It is a matter of adjusting the level of aggregate demand and aggregate supply as per the Cross Model. Moreover, the behavior of the consumers and businesses would be affected in the days to come to cause contractionary gap in USA but in China, expansionary gap seems to be working at present with the decision of the Chinese policy-makers as per the media.
Coca-Cola moved to expand its operations in the fast-growing Chinese market with a bid for China Huiyuan Juice Group. If approved, the acquisition would be Coke's biggest in China and the largest ever deal in China's food and beverage industry.

Here is another evidence of Sino-American Economics.
