President Obama writes on the role of community colleges

Washington Post,Sunday, July 12, 2009 on page A17:

"We believe it's time to reform our community colleges so that they provide Americans of all ages a chance to learn the skills and knowledge necessary to compete for the jobs of the future. It is estimated that we meet the goal of graduating 5 million more Americans from community colleges by 2020." Such passage can be read in President Obama's published article.

I sent my letter to the White House with such rationale several weeks ago and I am delighted to read such endorsement of my vision of "The Future of Community Colleges" published by the Congressional Record, July 18, 1974 issue.

Moreover, the following books are relevant to the role of community colleges to enhance productivity for economic development in USA.

It is my intellectual utility(satisfaction) to read the publication by the President of the United States in the Washington Post today to reinforce my thoughts to resolve unemployment during the global economic crisis. Training and retraining would be the desiderata as prerequisite for job seekers.
