Page 1B Nowadays,it's cool to be cheap. Myself included as a graduate student from China without money but a holder of scholarship and fellowship decades ago. Intellectual and Spiritual "Renaissance" classical influence by the late 1940s!(sic).

The Great Depression created a generation of Americans that abhorred waste and considered debt the devil's playground. Mark Zandi, Chief Economist for Moody's Economy.com predicts a year from now, the savings rate will top 3% and will hit 8% in the next decade or so. My comment: Assuming folks have jobs under the new President's plan? Perhaps folks in USA would learn the Asian tradition of saving under the influence of Confucianism? However, some young folks in Asia have learned to be on credit to keep up the trend of the West via media such as TV but I have reason to believe that they should be aware of global slowdown now!
