My modest thoughts: Economic Science has been deemed with the dominating private sector restricted by the narrow assumption of self-interest that entails. It is high time to find an alternative framework that would dovetail with the traditional values for humanity and noble reasoning for public interest apropos of Adam Smith as a professor of moral philosophy. The concepts as fairness, commitment,human dignity,motivation should be stressed in the field of economics. Moreover,the close relationship between government and the market must be noted under a new spotlight with humane perspective to be named as decent economics in the 21st century.In other words:Socio-Economics i.e. economics should be aimed to serve the society under new leadership for a changing America after January 20, 2009.
