China to seek remains of 1950 US Crash Victims: China will search for the remains of American victims from an Air Force bomber that crashed nearby 60 years ago, state media said Tuesday,a likely gesture of goodwill ahead of President Obama's first visit to the country, Nov. 15-Nov.18,09. Reports say thte US bomber caught fire and crashed on Nov. 5, 1950, while flying over southern Guangdong Province. Its mission was not known as per Associate Press. In June 1950, I earned my graduate degree at Georgetown University and in November 2009,I shall visit Shanghai, China to preview Expo 2010 with on-the-spot survey and research for cultural enrichment as intellectual delight.

Washington Post, October 28, 2009 on page A23: Ethics and Morality in economic philosphy as the foundation of economics.

Harvard professor Michael Sandel with photo. Sandel, in the good company of Aristotle, contends that knowing the right thing to do to any institutions requires a determination of its purpose. And the purpose of government is not only to defend individual rights but also to honor and reward civic virtues - self-sacrifice and concern for our neighbor. The definition of justice, by nature, is a moral enterprise. Here we detect the common ground of US and China to share the moral philosophy of Adam Smith and Confucius/Mencius. I elaborated such thoughts in my thesis published at the China Missionary Bulletin,January and February 1951 issues by Maryknolls in New York.

Page A8: The Center for American Progress and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst's Political Economy Research Institute predicted that a $150 billion annual public and private investment in clean energy would produce a net increase every year of 1.7 million jobs. Let us wait and see the empirical evidence in the years to come. Such assessment is similar to my past blogs apropos of two sectors e.g. the public and private sectors for US/China to make investments for common good of the citizenry. "Keys for Economic Understanding" (1971) available at www.Borders.Books(Used Books) re the investment of public education for creating jobs via training for private interests of individuals leading to the benefit of the nation with skilled labor as human resource apropos of factor of production to enhance productivity.
