China-US Exchange Foundation to fostering dialogue and openness

Former Chief of Hong Kong SAR published an article in the Washington Post,October 31, 2009 on page A15:

"China's emergence is the result of putting people at the center of governance."

Comment: Such goal is under the influence of Confucianism.

"As China has opened up to the outside world, its people have realized how increasingly intertwined their destiny is with the rest of the world."

Comment: "A Glimpse of the Chinese Language. (1965)" www.rand.org on page 8, I hinted to encourage China to join the international community and it is now being realized in the 21st century.

Francis Shieh a.k.a. Xie Shihao,a former researcher in the Department of Economics at the RAND Corporation and author of Confucianism,listed at the Library of Congress in 1950.

On page C1,C2 Style section: A changing China with photos of flawless dancers from Guangdong. I taught Economics at Guangzhou Institute of Trade in 1992-1993 and visited Hong Kong several times.

I taught Economics and Mandarin and Wu dialect(Shanghainese) since 1950s for decades and I will visit Shanghai for four weeks in November re on-the-spot studies in the field of Comparative Economics plus my research of Chinese and English languages for my educational endeavor as an octogenarian.

P.S. President Obama to Asia for APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation)meeting from Nov.13th to Nov.15th. The leave on November 11th to Tokyo Japan,Nov.12th and 13th. Travel to China to visit Beijing and Shanghai from Nov.15th through the 18th. Finally to Korea on Nov. 18th to Nov.19th. Lastly,To Indonesia for growing bilateral relations.
