Tires from China roll in. President Obama will decide on Sept.17th

Washington Post,Sept. 8, 2009 on pages A1,A12:" Kmart and Wal-Mart,Cooper could see that the Chinese tires were less expensive.

The proposed tariff would apply to Cooper Tire products manufactured in China and brought to the United States.

It could have significant negative impacts causing considerable market disruption and negative impacts on U.S. consumers."

Comment: In all fairness,I am inclined to be on the side of American consumers who wish to save money especially during the financial crisis nowadays provided that the products are less expensive with good quality.
