U.N. launches world's knowledge thru library science

Washington Post,April 21, 2009 on page A10:

The World Digital Library which officially will be inaugurated Tuesday at the Paris headquarters of UNESCO (UN Educational,Scientific and Cultural Organization), has started small, with about 1,200 documents and their explanations from scholars in Arabic, Chinese,English,French,Spanish, Russian and Portuguese in 7 languages for students around the world.

There are 6 official languages of the United Nations: Arabic,Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian.

"A Glimpse of the Chinese Language" is hereby dedicated to spread the knowledge of Chinese to the world in the 21st century. Available free of charge online at www.rand.org via PDF format.
