British PM Brown in Washington for Global New Deal

Washington Post,March 3, 2009 on page A9:

Brown will meet Obama today apropos of stimulating economies of G-20 including China.

Re: Creating Jobs,Brown stressed apprenticehip program for the young workers in UK and I have reason to believe that such programs would be needed for USA.

"Keys for Economic Understanding" was published in 1971 with a vision to train the workers for marketable skills. Cf. www.Amazon.com online book catalog. Such book is listed in the libraries in Australian National Library and Hong Kong Chinese University. Needless to say,Library of Congress and Georgetown University libraries have holdings online for readers to seek knowledge about apprenticeship programs.

On page A12: Engaging China: "A Glimpse of the Chinese Language" on page 8 hinted such vision. Published by the RAND Corporation in 1965. Cf. www.rand.org for a free copy as public service via PDF.

An open but respectful discussion with China can work as USA has the most leverage. With China's international role increasing,China has become more responsive to global norms and public opinions. Language is the basis for communication with true understanding of the substance of the interests of nations in terms of financial crisis apropos of globalization.
